Everything is firmly in black hands: in the district capital of Murau, the ÖVP recently had 74% of the vote - but also little competition. This time, the FPÖ is running again, the SPÖ has realigned itself and the Greens are also putting up a fight.

This is how Thomas Kalcher, ÖVP mayor of Murau, commented five years ago that only three instead of five lists were running in the local council elections. The FPÖ and the Forum für Murau were missing.
