Ever since the Grammy Awards, everyone has not only been talking about the nude appearance of Kanye West's still-wife Bianca Censori, but also about the new hairstyles of Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga and Billie Eilish.

People magazine asked a professional and he explained: "The new trend haircut of the stars is the so-called "Hime Haircut", which has its origins in Japan and probably dates back to the Heian era (794 to 1185).

The 'hime cut' is now particularly popular in the anime scene and in K-pop and gothic Lolita culture. However, the haircut was also worn by pop icon Cher in the 60s.

The expert also knows who the trendy haircut suits best: "The 'hime haircut' is ideal for straight, medium to thick hair. The key is a shiny and smooth texture."
