Stolen tractor traded in far from home

The stately "Massey Ferguson" will soon be chugging into the barn of a farmer in the district of Tulln. The tractor, which was stolen a few weeks ago, has now been located by Romanian investigators and is on its way home.

A Massey Ferguson 5711 M that had disappeared in Trasdorf made its way to Romania along winding country lanes! As reported, the criminals from the East had landed a spectacular coup in the fields of an agricultural machinery dealer in the Tullnerfeld by breaking into the premises of company owner Willi Bayerl at night just before Christmas.

In order to steal the high horsepower object of desire, the gang had simply rolled down the fence. Now, however, a farmer near Bucharest chugged into a police checkpoint - he was driving a high-end tractor! An Interpol search revealed that the motorized "Ackergaul" was the stolen goods from the heart of Lower Austria. The tractor is now on its way to its "home stable" via a forwarding agent.
