58 applications for new dual leadership of LIVA

18 applications from Austria and abroad have been received for the artistic and 40 for the commercial management of LIVA (Linzer Veranstaltungsgesellschaft). Individuals have applied for both positions at the same time, LIVA announced on Monday after the application deadline last Friday. A short list will now be drawn up.

The application deadline for a new LIVA management duo ended on January 31, as we reported. It is now clear: a total of 18 applications from Austria and abroad have been received for the artistic and 40 for the commercial management of LIVA (Linzer Veranstaltungsgesellschaft).

Individuals have applied for both positions at the same time, LIVA announced. A shortlist will now be drawn up and the most suitable applicants invited to a selection hearing.

Personnel consultant sifts through applications
The first step is for Gundi Wentner, a personnel consultant specializing in cultural management. She sifts through the applications, prepares them and makes them available to all members of the selection committee. Together, the candidates are selected for the hearing - expected to take place at the beginning of April - and a proposal for the appointment is then made to Mayor Dietmar Prammer (SPÖ), on which the LIVA Supervisory Board will also comment. In the end, Prammer will decide on the filling of the two positions.

In addition to Lukas, the commission includes the finance director of the city of Linz Christian Schmid, cultural director Julius Stieber, the managing director of the Bundestheater Christian Kircher, the former president of the Salzburg Festival Helga Rabl-Stadler, FM4 program director Doroteja Gradistanac - better known as Dodo Roscic - and conductor Franz Welser-Möst. Works Council member Albin Böcksteiner, Patricia Kurz-Khattab, the City of Linz's Equal Opportunities Officer, and Wentner have advisory votes.
