Woman from Salzburg dies in accident in Egypt

A woman from Salzburg was killed in a traffic accident in Egypt last Monday. It is said to have been a 47-year-old woman who was traveling in a cab with her partner. The Foreign Ministry has confirmed the death.

The woman was reportedly on her way to her vacation destination with her partner last Monday when the fatal accident occurred. The woman's boyfriend was seriously injured.

The embassy in Cairo is in contact with the relatives, according to Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Alena Baur.

She did not want to provide any further information about the accident. According to the report, the deceased was employed at the Christian Doppler Clinic in Salzburg.
