Several stab wounds: Man (22) in mortal danger

The Vienna police were alerted on Tuesday afternoon after a bloody knife attack in Meidling. The victim (22) has been in mortal danger since the attack. All other suspects are on the run.

Attentive passers-by had alerted the police in Wilhelmstraße at around 3 p.m. after observing 20 people attacking each other with knives.

Witnesses rushed to the victim
A 22-year-old was critically injured by several stab wounds. At the same time, all the other suspects fled, leaving the 22-year-old with life-threatening injuries.

22-year-old is in the shock room
Two witnesses immediately gave the victim first aid until the arrival of the professional rescue team. He was then taken to the shock room of a hospital by the emergency services. The current condition of the injured man is still unclear.

At the same time, a large police force was on the scene to break up the violent altercation. The officers were able to recover the suspected murder weapon, a folding knife, not far from the scene of the crime next to a street sign.

Serious robbery with a knife
On the same night, a man in Hernals was also injured with a knife and robbed by two unknown persons. The two suspects had previously demanded cash. However, when he refused, one of them stabbed him with a knife. The seriously injured man has been in hospital since the attack. The police are also searching for the two strangers in this case.
