Refugees rejected a woman as a trainer for compulsory German courses. The social welfare department of the state of Upper Austria is now drawing the first consequences. Krone+ knows what the offenders will now face.

For some time now, politicians have regarded attending the course and learning German as a prerequisite for receiving support.
However, the small German class at the WIFI in Steyr was taught by a woman - which the refugee refused. Those responsible did not know what else to do and replaced the female teacher with a man - which is said not to have been an isolated case. Politicians don't want to let this stand and are now tightening the reins.
