Kids on board: Driver smokes joint while driving

Simply unbelievable! A female driver with her two children on board smoked a joint while driving. The 32-year-old Serbian woman was pulled over by the police in the Tyrolean lowlands on Sunday. Cannabis was seized. A child (3) was inadequately secured.

The police carried out routine traffic checks on the B176 in Kirchdorf (Kitzbühel district) on Sunday morning. A female driver came to the officers' attention who was apparently holding a joint in her hand while driving. The car was stopped immediately.

"In the course of the check, both a strong smell of cannabis and the joint were detected inside the car," said the investigators. During a further search, small quantities of herbal cannabis were discovered in the car and seized.

One of the two children in the car was found to have no child restraint.

Driving license gone, charges to follow
Explosive: The woman's two children were also in the car. One of them - a three-year-old toddler - was inadequately secured, according to the investigators. After a medical examination, the 32-year-old Serbian woman's driver's license was temporarily revoked. Corresponding charges will follow.
