At just 18 years old, figure skater Flora Schaller is experiencing a rapid rise: after her debut in the general class, she qualified for the Junior World Championships - and now even for the European Championships in Tallinn.

Figure skater Flora Schaller only made her debut in the general class at the start of the 2024 fall season. It was only last weekend that she cracked the limit for the Junior World Championships in Debrecen (Hungary). But on Monday afternoon it became clear: the 18-year-old will travel to the European Championships for the general class in Tallinn (Estonia) at the end of January.

The SSM student was nominated for the major event because Olga Mikutina had to cancel due to illness. "We are very happy about the nomination of Flora, who has already proven her great talent with the Austrian runner-up title and most recently in Sofia," says Salzburg's President Carmen Kiefer. "An international championship is the next high level at which Flora can gain her first experience on the big stage."
