Left the road on a wintry road

A 25-year-old driver left the road in Schruns (Vorarlberg) on Thursday - she had underestimated the wintry conditions and was traveling too fast. 

On Thursday, a 25-year-old woman and her passenger (22) were traveling at excessive speed on the L188 in Bartholomäberg in the direction of Schruns. Due to the speed and the wintry road conditions, the woman suddenly left the road and crashed.

Insufficient tire tread
She and her co-driver were able to free themselves from the wreckage after the crash and then had to be taken to hospital by ambulance after sustaining undetermined injuries. As it turned out, the tread depth of the car's winter tires was insufficient.
