Unknown persons blow up tobacco vending machines with firecrackers

Two tobacco vending machines in Vienna were severely damaged by pyrotechnic explosives on New Year's Eve. The perpetrators are still unknown. With the support of explosives specialists, the police have launched an investigation to track down the detonators.

On New Year's Eve, a tobacco vending machine was first severely damaged in Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus. Unknown perpetrators attached pyrotechnic objects to the vending machine, which caused considerable damage when they exploded. 

There was no trace of any suspects
A similar incident also occurred in the Jedleseer Straße area of Vienna-Floridsdorf. Another tobacco vending machine was vandalized. When the officers arrived, there were no more suspects at the scene. Forensics were carried out by an explosives expert in order to gather information about the perpetrators.
