22 years without a “license”: man driving a scrap car

A Tyrolean man (43) must have left the police in Erpfendorf in the district of Kitzbühel shaking their heads. The man had already had his driver's license revoked 22 years ago. Nevertheless, he was behind the wheel of a car that should no longer have been on the road.

The 43-year-old was caught by officers at around 5 pm on Friday. The police carried out driver and vehicle checks on the Loferer Bundesstraße in Erpfendorf. "It was discovered that the driver was driving without a license," said the investigators.

Numerous technical defects were found on the car, whose inspection sticker had already been expired for over a year.

License plate removed immediately
As it turned out, the Tyrolean's license had already been revoked in 2002 - 22 years ago. But that wasn't the only thing that made people shake their heads. "The car's inspection sticker had already been expired for a year. And numerous technical defects were found," said the police.

The officers immediately removed the car's license plates. This was followed by reports to the district authority.
