Austrian change! Feldhofer takes over Bruges

Transfer for Styrian soccer coach Ferdinand Feldhofer. The Dinamo Tbilisi coach leaves the traditional Georgian club much earlier than expected and joins Cercle Brugge in Belgium. 

Ferdl Feldhofer had recently experienced disappointment in faraway Georgia, missing out on his first major international title as coach in the Cup final with Dinamo Tbilisi only on penalties. However, the Vorauer's mood was not dampened for long, as the former Rapid head coach has now climbed a few rungs up the career ladder.

After a total of 25 games on the bench of the record champions, Feldhofer's time in Georgia is coming to an end sooner than expected - but for a good reason for the East Styrian! Feldhofer replaces his recently dismissed compatriot Miron Muslic at Cercle Brugge in the Belgian Pro League! The red-white-red "run" of the Belgians continues, after Dominik Thalhammer and Muslic, Feldhofer is already the third Austrian in a row on the bench of the club from West Flanders.

"During our talks, it immediately became clear that we have the same ideas about soccer and the style of play," says Feldhofer. "I can hardly wait to get to know every player and member of staff. It's going to be intense because we have a lot of games ahead of us." Feldhofer will travel close to his Styrian homeland on Wednesday, while the Conference League match at Olimpija Ljubljana awaits Bruges on Thursday.
