There was great astonishment - and in retrospect a little stress - when Christian Brandl stood with his five-year-old daughter Ruth in front of the mobile toilet container on the newly designed main square in Amstetten. Because the doors were locked. What's more, the steps to get in were under the trailer. The result: the two had to look elsewhere for a quiet place to go.

Toilets forgotten during conversion?
However, father and daughter were not the only ones standing in front of the toilet without being able to use it. As a result, there is persistent criticism that sufficient public toilets were forgotten during the multi-million euro renovation of the main square.

The toilet wagon is available to visitors during the opening hours of the Christmas Forest and is cleaned every day.

However, this is contradicted by the city marketing department. Although they explain that the WC trolley can only be used during the opening hours of the "Christmas Forest" - i.e. daily from 12 noon to 9 pm - they also refer to the public toilets in Kirchenstraße and Alte Zeile.
