Major operation after cellar fire in Dornbirn

Late on Thursday afternoon, the Dornbirn fire department had to deploy 40 men and eight vehicles to a cellar fire in an apartment building. Fortunately, no people were injured.

The cause of the fire was probably flying sparks from the central stove in the cellar, which caused a pile of wood and paper to catch fire. The firefighters who rushed to the scene quickly managed to extinguish the flames and no one was injured.

During the operation, the road leading past the apartment building had to be closed to all traffic.
