The police checked the driver on Monday afternoon near the municipality of Grödig. The 23-year-old caught the police officers' eye because of his driving style.

The officers' suspicions were quickly confirmed: the alcohol test was negative, but the drug test was positive. The medical officer found him unfit to drive, his driver's license was taken away and charges were filed. It was not yet clear on Monday which drugs the driver had consumed.
