Krampus injured woman with wooden rod during parade

Two people were injured during Krampus parades in Tyrol on Saturday. While a local woman in Anras (Lienz district) almost severed the tip of her finger on a barrier, a visitor in Imst was hit with a rod by a Krampus. The police are looking for witnesses.

The incident took place during the Krampus parade in Imst's Kramergasse. According to the police, a Krampus allegedly hit a 22-year-old local woman on the left hand with a wooden rod in such a way that it swelled up.

As a result, the woman could no longer fully move her fingers. She then went to hospital in Zams on her own.

Woman almost severed the tip of her finger
A local woman (51) was also injured in Anras. At around 6.10 pm, the woman got her left hand caught in the joint of a barrier fence. At the same time, one of the Krampuses moved the fence back and forth.

The woman was trapped and almost completely severed one of her fingertips. After first aid, she was taken to the district hospital in Lienz.
