Marital dispute escalates: Man (34) hits partner

On Friday night, a violent argument broke out between a husband and wife in an apartment in Vienna-Favoriten. The 34-year-old Austrian citizen is said to have threatened and beaten his 41-year-old wife. When the officers arrived, the injured woman was already waiting for them in the street.

On Friday night, a serious case of domestic violence occurred in an apartment building in Vienna-Favoriten. A 34-year-old Austrian citizen allegedly got into a violent argument with his 41-year-old wife, which then escalated into physical violence.

Underage children present during the attack
The man is said to have threatened and beaten his wife. What is particularly worrying is that the couple's underage children were present during the incident. When the police arrived at the scene, they found the injured woman already on the street.

The officers provisionally arrested the 34-year-old husband. Several protective measures were imposed on him: a ban on entering and approaching the house and a temporary weapons ban were issued. The accused is currently in police custody.

Children in the care of relatives for protection
The 41-year-old wife received first aid from the Vienna Emergency Medical Services and was subsequently taken to hospital. The husband also suffered injuries during the altercation in the course of his arrest and required medical treatment. In order to protect the minor children, they were temporarily handed over into the care of a relative.
