Foundling “Peterl” is looking for a new home

A mixed-breed male named "Peterl" was abandoned and is now waiting for new owners with whom he can spend his life. He is currently at the animal shelter in Draßmarkt.

It was a very soft whimper that alerted a resident in Panoramastrasse in Bernstein to the sad fate of the little puppy a few days ago. Huddled together in the freezing cold, the ten-week-old mongrel dog was sitting under a balcony in the residential complex.

Attempts to locate the owner in the village were unsuccessful, however, as the dog had probably been abandoned. On the initiative of the official vet, the puppy was then passed on to Eleonore Schandl, who is currently rehoming him at her boarding kennel in Draßmarkt. The little "man" has also found a name in the meantime.

"Loves to cuddle"
"Peterl is perfect for him because he has such a sweet nature, is cuddly and loves to cuddle," says Schandl about her youngest resident. After a medical check, it was soon clear that Peterl had survived his adventurous journey unscathed. De-flea'd, wormed and vaccinated, the ten-week-old puppy is now waiting for his new owner.
