Doskozil in hospital with mild pneumonia

Governor Hans Peter Doskozil has to be treated in hospital for a mild case of pneumonia. Just two weeks ago, he underwent his eighth operation on his larynx.

The governor made a Facebook post on Wednesday afternoon to "prevent rumors and speculation": "I am currently being treated in Oberwart Hospital for mild pneumonia with antibiotic infusions."

Can return home soon
According to the medical team, he will be able to return home this week. He is also "doing well" as far as the recent operation is concerned. 

Back on appointments soon
Despite being in hospital, he is continuing to devote himself to his political activities. "I'm currently continuing to work with my cell phone and computer. I am sure that - as already announced - I will soon be able to attend internal appointments again and then also public appointments in good time," Doskozil says with conviction.

As reported, this was the Governor's eighth operation on his larynx recently. The operation was carried out following a routine check-up, as ossification of the cartilage had been detected. Doskozil returned to Burgenland last Sunday.
