Only tenth place for Lewis Hamilton! The race in Brazil was "shit", according to the Mercedes star's hard-hitting analysis. Why didn't it go well? "If you can figure it out, I'll give you a million dollars," joked the almost resigned Brit in conversation with a reporter.

Lewis Hamilton repeatedly complained about his car on Sunday in Interlagos. "The car is undriveable. Braking and bouncing everywhere," he complained over the radio. "Today was terrible. Yesterday was terrible. Qualifying was bad. The sprint was bad. The car was just bad all weekend."

This is not how the usually relaxed 39-year-old is known, but the seven-time world champion is at a loss. "You tell me. That's the one million dollar question," he said with a wink to a journalist who wanted to know the reasons for the car's poor performance. It was "devastating to have these bad races in the second half of the season now".

"I'm already looking forward to Christmas"
And Hamilton has apparently even already finished with Mercedes. "If they can give me a car that doesn't jump off the track in the next couple of races, then hopefully we can hope for a better result. But yes, I'm already looking forward to Christmas," said the veteran, who will be chasing points for Ferrari from next year.
