Bedroom fire in Salzburg causes injuries

A fire broke out in an apartment in the city of Salzburg on Tuesday. The neighbors helped the two residents outside and also brought their dog to safety. 

A deeply sooted window indicates what happened in Strubergasse in the city of Salzburg on Tuesday. For reasons as yet unexplained, a fire broke out in the bedroom of an apartment on the first floor. It spread quickly.

Treated by the Red Cross
The two residents of the apartment managed to get out with the help of their neighbors. They also looked after the dog.

The two people were treated by the Red Cross and taken to hospital. The fire has now been declared "out". The investigation is ongoing.
