E-bike rider flees after accident with 11-year-old boy

Serious traffic accident in East Tyrol! A young e-bike rider (11) collided with a man also sitting on an electric wire donkey. The boy was seriously injured, the stranger fled.

As has only now become known, the fatal accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at around 5 p.m. in Matrei in East Tyrol. "The boy was traveling east on Virgil-Rainer-Straße and reduced his speed shortly before the blind intersection in order to cross Bichler Straße," according to the police.

Police are looking for witnesses
However, a collision between the two cyclists finally occurred at the intersection. While the eleven-year-old suffered a serious upper arm injury, the other cyclist was apparently uninjured and left the scene immediately after the accident without inquiring about the boy's condition. The police only found out about the accident on Thursday and are now asking for any useful information by calling 059133/7234.

Description of the unknown man
The unknown man is between 40 and 50 years old and about 1.80 meters tall. He had a black and gray three-day beard and was wearing a black helmet with green stripes. The wanted man spoke East Tyrolean dialect.
