Chase ends in a field in Neumarkt

A pursuit took place on Sunday afternoon from Köstendorf to Neumarkt. A Turkish man turned around before being checked, drove off and then hid from the officers in a field. 

The police carried out traffic checks on the Köstendorf country road on Sunday afternoon. The officers became suspicious when a driver turned around before the check and drove off. The police quickly followed the car and found it parked in Neumarkt without a driver. The occupant, a Turkish man, fled on foot into an adjacent field, where he was apprehended. The reason for his escape: he did not have a driver's license and will now be charged.
