Shock in Donaustadt

Wanted to park: Driver (26) hit two-year-old girl

A woman and her two-year-old daughter had a stroke of luck on Thursday in Vienna's Donaustadt district. A young man reversed his car to park in a free parking space and hit the two people. Only minor injuries were sustained. 

The accident occurred in Wagramer Straße. The 26-year-old driver pushed back with his vehicle in order to park in a free parking space. In doing so, he hit the 37-year-old woman, who was crossing the road with her daughter, reported the Vienna police.

Mother and daughter are safe again
The mother crashed with the little girl. Fortunately, they both only suffered minor injuries. Although they received emergency medical treatment from the ambulance service and were taken to hospital, they were quickly discharged to home care. The driver was reported to the police on suspicion of negligent bodily harm.
