Bomb alert also in Vienna? Operation at the provincial court

Now it has also happened in Vienna. With bomb alerts being received by Austrian police stations on a daily basis, the Vienna Provincial Court was also affected on Wednesday. The federal capital had not yet been the target of threats. 

According to information from the court, an email with a bomb threat was received on Wednesday. The court building was not evacuated for the time being following a "police evaluation". According to "Krone" information, only people with a summons were allowed to enter the building; members of the public and school classes had to turn back.

"There is a large contingent of police in the building", court spokeswoman Christina Salzborn announced in the morning. All areas were searched for conspicuous objects and police dogs were deployed.

Spokesman Philipp Haßlinger also confirmed that there had been a police operation at the court. The operation ended at around 11 am. No suspicious objects were discovered on site.
