Feldkirch train station evacuated and closed

For days, anonymous bomb threats against train stations and schools have kept the authorities in several federal states on tenterhooks. On Tuesday evening, the train station in Feldkirch had to be evacuated. 

The official lockdown lasted for hours. As in previous alerts, the entire area was searched for suspicious objects or explosive devices.

"No train services are currently possible in Feldkirch," was the message from ÖBB on the short message platform X. A rail replacement service was set up for local services between Rankweil and Frastanz. Long-distance trains waited for the closure.

This was lifted again at around 11 p.m. As in all the previous cases, nothing was found. Further investigations are being conducted by the Directorate of State Security and Intelligence (DSN).

Confusion at Carinthia railroad station too
The warning also caused confusion in Carinthia. For security reasons, the police also went to the train station in Feldkirchen to make sure that the threat was not a case of mistaken identity. According to the Carinthian regional police directorate, however, they did not receive any threats. The all-clear was also quickly given at the station.
