Accident at Murpark junction: police are looking for witnesses

Two cars collided at the entrance to Murpark in Graz-Liebenau on Monday. The driver of one car was slightly injured, both vehicles were badly damaged. As both parties involved in the accident claim to have had a green light, the police are now looking for witnesses.

At around 3 p.m. on Monday, a 57-year-old man from eastern Styria was driving his car on the Liebenauer Tangente out of town in the direction of the Graz-Ost highway exit. At the same time, a 42-year-old woman from Graz was driving in the opposite direction - and turned left at the entrance to the Murpark shopping center. 

Driver injured
The two vehicles collided at the junction. The 42-year-old was slightly injured, but was able to leave the hospital after outpatient treatment. Both vehicles were severely damaged and had to be towed away. 

According to the police, the question of who was at fault is still open: both parties involved in the accident claim to have had a green light. The police are therefore looking for witnesses who can provide information about the course of the accident.
