Flood: tradesman bonus also applies to renovations

There is plenty of work at the moment - but you should take advantage of all the subsidies. The "Krone" knows how to get an extra 500 euros at the moment.

What good is the best help if nobody knows about it? With this in mind, the Chamber of Commerce is currently promoting the tradesmen's bonus once again. This can also be claimed for renovation and refurbishment work - and could therefore also provide relief to victims of the floods whose houses and apartments were flooded.

However, Jochen Flicker, Chairman of the Lower Austrian Trade and Crafts Association, warns people to hurry: "The amount of funding will fall from 2000 to 1500 euros from next year. "So if you get upcoming jobs done quickly now, you will receive up to 500 euros more via the craftsmen's bonus."

Both sides benefit from the bonus: The customer and the contractor. The bonus covers 20 percent of the net labor costs.

For this year and next year, 300 million euros have already been earmarked, with three million being paid out to consumers in a single week alone. New: Since September, partial and cash invoices from companies have also been accepted as long as they are not subject to the cash register obligation.
