Injured! ÖSV youngster out for six weeks

Tyrolean Joshua Sturm will miss the season-opening Alpine giant slalom in Sölden at the end of October. 

As the Austrian Ski Association announced on Tuesday, the 23-year-old suffered a partial tear in his hamstring muscles during home training and will be out for around six weeks as a result.

The technical specialist: "The injury is of course bitter and I would have liked to have started in Sölden. I'll start rehab and fitness training this week and I'm confident that a start in Levi is within the realms of possibility." The men race in Finland on November 17.
