Attempted murder with a knife in refugee accommodation?

Two Ukrainian citizens clashed in their shared accommodation in Flachau (Salzburg) on Monday morning. One of the two attacked the other with a knife. The latter was able to flee into the neighboring building. Following the arrest of the attacker, the police are investigating attempted murder. 

In the Pongau municipality of Flachau, there was a violent altercation between a 25-year-old and a 47-year-old Ukrainian late on Monday morning. The two initially engaged in a verbal altercation, but physical violence was soon to follow. 

In the course of the argument, the older man grabbed a knife from a kitchen drawer, attacked the younger man and injured him twice to an indeterminate degree. The injured man was then able to flee with witnesses to a neighboring building and was later flown by rescue helicopter to the hospital in Schwarzach. 

After arriving, the police were able to confront and arrest the 47-year-old attacker in front of the shared house. Evidence was then secured and the witness was questioned. An investigation into attempted murder is also underway.
