Tyrolean (30) attacked his father with a kitchen knife

Wild scenes took place in an apartment in Innsbruck on Sunday night! A 30-year-old man attacked his father (68) with a kitchen knife and apparently tried to kill him. The son was arrested.

Around midnight, the situation in the Innsbruck apartment escalated completely - presumably because the 30-year-old was too drunk. The drunk local grabbed a kitchen knife and attacked his father with it.

Parents slightly injured
"Together with his 63-year-old wife, the 68-year-old managed to take the knife from the 30-year-old and make an emergency call," said the police. A short time later, the son was arrested by the police without resistance. "He has since been taken to Innsbruck prison", according to the police. The man's parents only suffered minor injuries.

Motive still unclear
Nothing was yet known about the motive. The arrested Austrian has so far refused to make a statement. "Alcoholization is likely to have played a role, however," explained the police, who are assuming an attempted murder.
