Storms are coming! Will matches have to be postponed?

The impending storms in Austria could also shake up the Bundesliga match schedule this weekend.

Three games are scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday - whether they can be played as planned is still open, but at least no postponements were foreseeable until Thursday afternoon. The league told APA that they are in constant contact with the clubs and various weather stations.

The referee's assignments are usually scheduled for the morning of a match day, but could be brought forward to the day before at short notice. The Bundesliga emphasized that the final decision on the staging of a match lies with the local event authorities.

For example, it could be that the pitch is playable but the match is still called off because there are no emergency services available in and around the stadium due to severe weather.
