On August 20, the Floriani firefighters had to be deployed to a heating plant in Dornbirn - it has now emerged that the fire was started deliberately. 

A fire broke out at a biomass heating plant in Dornbirn on August 20 and the Floriani firefighters had to contain the flames. Investigators now assume that the fire was deliberate.

At around six o'clock in the morning, the rescue and fire department control center received a report of a burning pile of wood in the Steinebach area near the local heating plant. When the firefighters arrived, the pile of wood was already fully engulfed in flames. Fortunately, however, the fire was quickly extinguished and the flames were prevented from spreading to the heating plant. No persons were injured, but the damage to property was considerable.
