TTAT Festival
Salzburg Central Station becomes a stage again
While many people in Salzburg prefer to avoid the area around the main train station, this music festival is actually held there! The "Take-The-A-Train" (TTAT) event series is turning the station and the area around it into a cultural hotspot for the 10th time this year.
"The whole thing actually started as a district festival from 'Jazzit'," says organizer Andreas Neumayer. In recent years, the series of events has taken up more and more space around the music club.
"We've grown from year to year. This year we are playing on around 15 stages. But you can't pin it down that precisely. Many gigs come about spontaneously," says Neumayer.
A long-planned highlight of this year's event series: the concert by rock band My Ugly Clementine on the station forecourt on Sunday. "They gave their first concert in Salzburg at TTAT five years ago. Back then they were still quite unknown, but today it's different," says organizer Neumayer.
The sunrise concert on the last day of the event, September 15 at 6.30 a.m., has also become a magnet for visitors. TTAT is expecting around 20,000 festival guests in total this year.
