Neo-ÖFB team player moves to Croatia

Arnel Jakupovic, who was recently called up to the ÖFB national team for the first time, is moving from Slovenian club NK Maribor to Croatian first division club NK Osijek with immediate effect. 

As the latter announced on Friday, the 26-year-old striker has signed a three-year contract. Jakupovic has been a prolific striker for Maribor since February 2023, scoring five goals in the first five league games of the new season.

New to the ÖFB team
On Tuesday, Jakupovic was named in the ÖFB squad for the first time by team boss Ralf Rangnick for the Nations League away games against Slovenia on September 6 and Norway on September 9.
