Perpetrators hit restaurants on Lake Faak

There are fewer and fewer industries where large amounts of cash are in circulation. The catering industry at least still has this reputation - so burglars strike again and again. This was also the case on Sunday night at Lake Faak.

Two restaurants and a snack bar in the municipality of Finkenstein fell victim to the perpetrators. "The as yet unknown perpetrators got into a restaurant by opening a tilted window, broke open a cash drawer and stole change of an initially unknown amount," reported the police.

The blinds of the snack stand were forced open - the perpetrators also stole change there. "In another building, a sliding window was damaged, but nothing was stolen," the police continue. "Finally, the unknown perpetrators got into another restaurant by breaking open the back door."

Change was also taken from a drawer there. The total damage caused by this series of burglaries amounts to several thousand euros, but the actual loot is likely to be only a fraction of this.
