Power outage: Emergency power supply kicks in at Graz LKH

There was a power cut in parts of Graz on Friday afternoon due to a technical fault. 2,500 households were affected, and the emergency power supply even came on at Graz LKH.

The power outage occurred at around 3.45 pm on Friday in the Hilmteichstraße area in the Geidorf district of Graz. The reason was a technical fault, with faults reported at a total of 22 transformer stations. 2,500 households were temporarily without power, and some traffic lights were also out of order.

Tricky: Parts of Graz University Hospital were also without power. As planned, the emergency power supply in the university hospital was switched on via generators - patients were not at risk at any time. Work on rectifying the outage continued until late afternoon. Shortly after 6 p.m., all outages were restored.
