Mountain tours: Do we need more personal responsibility?

Many Tyrolean mountain rescue services are currently very busy. In order to promote awareness for more personal responsibility, the suggestion has now been made to ask people who trigger a mountain rescue operation through gross negligence to pay. In the Krone forum, this demand was met with widespread approval, but displeasure was also expressed - you can read a selection of the comments here!

Where does negligence begin?
User HansIDK1 points out that accidents in many areas are also a side effect of the tourism industry. The assessment of what constitutes "negligence" should also be left to the authorities. This opinion is shared by saurompfa and kronetopinformiert. 

Time for stricter requirements?
However, many readers felt that the proposal was entirely appropriate, as several approving comments showed.
