Official: Bull is loaned to Altach

Next loan for Salzburg midfielder Dijon Kameri. This time, the bull is being loaned out to Altach in Vorarlberg. He should get more playing time there.

What the "Krone" already reported in advance is now official: Salzburg player Dijon Kameri is being loaned out to Bundesliga rivals Altach until the end of the season. The midfielder had little prospect of playing time in the current squad, so the loan is the logical consequence. In the spring, the 20-year-old had already been loaned to Grasshoppers in Zurich, Switzerland.

Kameri completed all youth levels in the Bulls' academy. He went on to make 30 appearances for Liefering and 25 for Salzburg. Five of those appearances were in the Champions League. He even started in the 1:1 draw at home against AC Milan on September 6, 2022. This was followed by a shoulder injury that slowed down the up-and-coming young player.

"We are delighted to have Dijon Kameri, a highly exciting young Austrian, join SCR Altach. Dijon is an exceptionally talented player with great potential who has already shown himself at Champions League level," enthuses Altach sporting director Roland Kirchler. "After a few injuries, we want to offer him the conditions to reach his maximum performance."

Salzburg will face Dynamo Kiev away from home in the Champions League play-off on Wednesday evening (9pm). The match will be played in Lublin. The decisive second leg of the tie will take place next Tuesday, August 27, at the Red Bull Arena (9 p.m.).
