Sheeran watches ‘his’ new club’s opening match

Pop star Ed Sheeran recently secured shares in his favorite club Ipswich Town. The Brit watched the promoted club's opening match against Liverpool live in the stands. 

Sheeran is a big soccer fan and passionate supporter of his favorite club. That is why the singer has now also acquired a minority shareholding. This is a total of 1.4 percent of the shares, as a passive investor.

On Saturday, promoted Ipswich Town kicked off their first Premier League season in 22 years. Against Liverpool, the team showed courage from the start and did not hide. Sheeran must have liked the performance.
