Mastercard reorganizes: 1000 employees lose their jobs

As part of its restructuring, Mastercard has announced the elimination of three percent of all jobs worldwide. According to earlier information from the credit card provider on its workforce, this would affect around 1000 employees.

Most of them should be informed by the third quarter, Mastercard announced on Friday. Resources would also be reallocated to growth areas. The Bloomberg agency first reported on the plans.

Mastercard had announced a restructuring at the beginning of the year with the aim of focusing on core business areas.
