Biker thrown onto road after crash with car

The ride of a 60-year-old motorcyclist ended with a wild take-off on Wednesday morning in Schlitters (Schwaz district). The biker overtook several stationary cars and was finally hit by a car that swerved to the left.

The local man was riding his motorcycle on the Zillertalstraße in Schlitters at around 9.25 am. He wanted to pass a traffic jam and drove past the stationary cars. At this point, however, a 29-year-old local man drove to the left towards the middle of the road, resulting in a collision.

Thrown onto the road
The 60-year-old was thrown into the oncoming lane, crashed and suffered serious injuries. He was taken to hospital in Schwaz by ambulance. "There was corresponding material damage to both vehicles," said the police.
