Young e-biker came too close to the wall – rollover!

The series of serious bike accidents in Tyrol continues: on Friday morning, an e-biker (25) overturned in Hopfgarten in Brixental Valley after coming too close to a wall. The young holidaymaker suffered serious injuries and had to be taken to hospital.

The serious accident occurred shortly before 10.30 am. The 25-year-old Dutchman was riding his electric bike downhill on the Grafenweg country road when, according to the police, he came too close to a wall.

Lost balance and overturned
"This caused the man to lose his balance. He ended up overturning his bike," reported the police. The Dutchman suffered serious injuries. After first aid at the scene of the accident, he was taken to Kufstein Hospital by ambulance.

Serious accidents in Tyrol every day
Serious bicycle and e-bike accidents are currently the order of the day in Tyrol. In Kühtai, for example, a German racing cyclist had a serious accident after swerving to avoid a cow on the road. There was also a serious accident involving an e-bike and bicycle trailer in Gaistal this week, in which a father and son (3) were injured.
