Police arrest bail fraudster (39)

The charges are serious! The police have charged a 39-year-old Czech with at least two brazen frauds.

 On July 23, the man allegedly collected jewelry and precious metals worth almost 25,000 euros from a Salzburg pensioner (80) - as supposed bail for his daughter, who was allegedly threatened with imprisonment after an accident. This week, the Czech is said to have used the same scam in Upper Austria to lure more than 10,000 euros out of an 87-year-old man.

Shortly afterwards, the police were able to arrest the man during his return journey to Salzburg. All the cash was recovered. The Czech is being held in Puch-Urstein prison. Has the man committed any other crimes? The investigation is ongoing.
