Girl raped at train station in Lower Austria – arrest

Abominable incident in Lower Austria: A 17-year-old is suspected of having raped a 14-year-old girl at Langenzersdorf railroad station. The Somali asylum seeker was arrested and taken to prison, the provincial police directorate reported on Thursday.

The accused refused to make a statement when questioned. The crime is said to have been committed on Monday at around 11.30 pm. The 17-year-old is believed to have met the teenager by chance at the train station. He is said to have initially held the 14-year-old and pushed her to the ground and then forced her to perform sexual acts.

The victim then informed her mother and pressed charges. The 17-year-old was identified from video recordings and arrested on Wednesday in the course of an intervention on suspicion of cell phone theft in Korneuburg.
