Amusement park attraction closed after accident

The management of the "Fantasiana" park is seeking clarification. A serious accident occurred during maintenance work at the park in Straßwalchen on Tuesday. The "Knights Ride Tower" remains closed for the time being.

As reported, numerous emergency services had to be deployed to the attraction in Straßwalchen on Tuesday. Two employees of the theme park were injured during maintenance work, one of them seriously. They had to be rescued from the "Knights Ride Tower" by fire department rescuers in a complex operation.

In a statement on its website, the park management said that there was no danger to guests. The ride was closed to visitors during the maintenance work. Maintenance work is a normal procedure. "All our rides are TÜV-certified and meet all safety standards," writes the company, which thanks the emergency services.

Cause of the accident is being investigated
It is not yet known how the accident occurred. The two employees will be questioned as soon as possible, according to the theme park. The company emphasizes that their lives are not in danger. Their recovery currently has priority. According to the police, investigations are underway with the labor inspectorate into the exact circumstances of the accident.
