Greek athlete causes fourth doping case at the Olympics

Greek athlete Eleni-Klaoudia Polak, who was eliminated in the pole vault qualifying round, has been provisionally suspended due to a positive doping test. This was announced by the organizers of the Olympic Games in Paris on Tuesday.

Polak is the fourth doping case at the Olympic Games in Paris after the Iraqi judoka Sajjad Sehen, the Nigerian boxer Cynthia Ogunsemilore and the Afghan judoka Mohammad Samim Faizad.

Polak, who was eliminated on Monday with a jump over 4.20 m, was disqualified due to an "abnormal analysis result" after a doping test and suspended pending further proceedings, the organization wrote in a statement without further details.
