Fire department salvages unmaneuverable boat

The water police and fire department had to tow a boat on Lake Constance (Vorarlberg) on Wednesday whose engine had failed and which was drifting on the water unable to maneuver. 

At around 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday, the emergency crews were informed that a motorboat was drifting on Lake Constance near the mouth of the Bregenzer Ache. The Hard water police first went to the motorboat, which was around 600 meters from the shore.

Until the "Föhn" fireboat arrived, the motorboat was moored to the "V-20" police boat. The fire boat then took the motorboat in tow and drove it back to Hard. Fortunately, no one was injured.
