German woman (40) crashed her bike into a slope stabilizer

The outing of a German biker (40) in St. Jakob in Defereggen in East Tyrol ended with serious injuries. The woman skidded off in a bend and crashed her vehicle into a slope stabilizer at the side of the road.

The 40-year-old woman from Bavaria was traveling together with colleagues from her motorcycle tour group on Tuesday afternoon in the direction of the Staller Sattel border crossing. In the municipality of St. Jakob i. D. she was riding in second place.

Bike slipped away
In a tight left-hand bend, she slipped off with her rear wheel for unknown reasons and then crashed into the slope protection on the side of the road. She sustained serious injuries to her right leg and was taken to the district hospital in Lienz by the ambulance after first aid.
